At any time, life’s difficulties and challenges can become overwhelming for us to deal with on our own. Therapy provides a safe and supportive space where a client can explore their feelings and experiences without judgement.

 

The therapeutic relationship helps clients to look at old behaviour and thought patterns and explore how these patterns are affecting their relationships and quality of life. Through an empathic and trusting relationship, clients can develop the tools to free themselves from their unhelpful ways of being and transcend life’s difficulties.

 

During the first session, clients outline what has brought them to therapy and what their expectations of therapy are. We discuss any goals that the client may have. This session is also used to explain the counselling process, confidentiality, cancellation policy, fees and to agree a set appointment time.
